Sources & accuracy

Every Islamic text on this platform carries a named reference, and nothing here is a fatwa.

Our rules for religious content

  • Qur'an verses are cited by surah and ayah number, with widely accepted English translations of the meaning (Sahih International style). A translation is never the Qur'an itself.
  • Hadith are cited with collection and number (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Nasa'i). We prioritise Bukhari and Muslim.
  • We publish no rulings (fatwa) of our own, and no AI model writes religious verdicts on this platform. Where scholars differ, we say so rather than pick a side.
  • Prayer times are mathematical calculations using the Adhan library and recognised methods (Umm al-Qura, ISNA, MWL, Karachi, Egyptian). Always confirm with your local mosque.
  • Community posts, questions and stories are written by users. They are opinions and experiences — never treat them as evidence.

Where we can be wrong

We are honest about this: a reference number can be mistyped, a hadith can be graded differently by different scholars (sahih, hasan, da'if), and a translation can carry a nuance the Arabic does not. If you rely on this site for a personal decision in worship, marriage, finance or family matters, confirm it with a qualified scholar you can speak to directly. Nobody carries your amanah for you.

Report a correction

If you find a wrong verse number, a weak or fabricated narration presented as authentic, or a mistranslation — tell us. We verify against the printed collection and either correct the reference or remove the text entirely. Corrections are treated as urgent.
